About

Simple produce. Bold flavours.

EMBER started as a tiny kitchen with a single wood-fired oven. Today people come for breakfast and stay for dinner.

We work with twelve farms around Kyiv and Poltava, bake our own sourdough and ferment our own vegetables. The menu follows the season; the wine list follows our sommelier’s mood.

Fire is honest: it won’t hide a bad ingredient, and it won’t spoil a good one.

What our guests say

We ordered the tasting set for six and every course felt like a small event. Special thanks to the sommelier for the orange wine with the roasted beetroot.

I’ve come for Saturday breakfast every week for a year. The shakshuka never changes; the seasonal toasts surprise me every time.

A quiet room, attentive service and a steak cooked exactly the way I asked. My partners still mention the baked pear dessert.

I rarely write about places this consistent. One star off only because the table by the oven has to be booked a week ahead.

The kids got colouring books and their own mini pizzas, and we got two quiet hours and a great bottle of wine. We’ll be back!
